- The Ngang Pass (Vietnamese: Đèo Ngang, IPA: [ɗɛ̂w ŋaːŋ], literally "Transverse Mountain Pass") is a mountain pass on the border of the provinces of Quảng Bình and Hà Tĩnh, in the North Central Coast of Vietnam. National Route 1 crosses it as it traverses the Hoành Sơn, a side-spur of the larger Annamite Range. The pass is 2,560 m long, ascending to the height of 250 m (750 ft). Historical French texts refer to the pass as Porte d'Annam. (en)

Le col fait office de frontière naturelle entre les provinces de Hà Tĩnh et Quảng Bình. Il gênait la circulation avant la construction du tunnel de Ngang. Il se trouvait autrefois sur le passage de l'ancienne Route mandarine qui longeait le Vietnam du nord au sud. Au sommet de la montagne, il y a un arc en pierre avec un large passage, dit la 'porte d'Annam' (Hoành Sơn Quan). composa un poème célèbre quand elle passa ici. - Przełęcz Ngang (wiet. Đèo Ngang) – górska przełęcz w Wietnamie na granicy prowincji Quảng Bình i Hà Tĩnh w Regionie Wybrzeża Północno-Środkowego (wiet. Bắc Trung Bộ). Przełęcz Ngang jest położona na drodze 1A, głównej drodze biegnącej wzdłuż wybrzeża Wietnamu, przecinającej w tym miejscu góry , boczne pasmo gór Annamskich. Z przełęczy widać otaczające góry piaszczyste plaże, zalesione zbocza, a dalej pola uprawne. Na szczycie znajduje się zbudowana przez dynastię Nguyễn brama kontrolująca ruch przez przełęcz. Dawniej przełęcz była znana jako wietrzna i stroma przeszkoda. Obecnie przejazd ułatwia tunel omijający przełęcz. Stroma, kręta droga została zachowana jedynie jako trasa widokowa dla turystów. Przełęcz Ngang została opisana w literaturze wietnamskiej w słynnym poemacie napisanym przez dziewiętnastowieczną poetkę . (pl)
