The Knickerbocker Dutch, also known simply as Dutchmen (Dutch: Duitsers), were a cultural group native to New York and New Jersey found along the old borders of New Netherland. In New York they were known as the New York Dutch, and in New Jersey as the Jersey Dutch. The Pennsylvania Dutch are culturally related to the Knickerbocker Dutch, and many Pennsylvania Dutchmen have Knickerbocker ancestry.
