- Die Kongregation der Frères de Saint-Gabriel (offizieller Name Frères de l'instruction chrétienne de Saint-Gabriel; lateinisch Institutum Fratrum instructionis christianae a Sancto Gabriele, SG; übersetzt: Brüder der christlichen Unterweisung vom heiligen Gabriel; kurz Gabrielisten) ist ein katholischer Laienbrüderorden, der 1715 durch den heiligen Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort (1643–1716) begründet wurde. Die Gemeinschaft, die sich dem Lehrberuf und der Erziehung widmet, zählte im 18. Jahrhundert nie über 30 Mitglieder, wuchs dann aber bis 1900 auf 1.027 Brüder. Heute (2003) zählt die Kongregation 1.200 Brüder in allen Teilen der Welt (u. a. in Frankreich, Belgien, Kanada, Indien, Thailand, USA, Mauritius, Madagaskar, Brasilien und England), wo sie Schulen betreibt. In 1853 kreeg de broedercongregatie in Frankrijk erkenning van Napoleon III. De geschiedenis begint met vier broeders die in 1715 de gelofte aflegden binnen de congregatie van de Montfortanen, welke een paar jaar eerder door Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort (1643–1716) was gesticht. De belangrijkste taakstelling is christelijk onderwijs aan arme kinderen, wezen en fysiek gehandicapten.De congregatie heeft een lange ervaring in het onderwijs aan blinddoven. (nl)

Ludwika w XVII/XVIII w.).W 1910 r. z rąk Piusa X otrzymali prawa papieskie. Charyzmatem tej zakonnej wspólnoty jest: szeroko pojęte nauczanie dzieci i młodzieży w duchu chrześcijańskim. W związku z tym, prowadzi liczne szkoły, które kształcą na różnych szczeblach edukacji (podstawowe, gimnazja, średnie, w Senegalu wyższe). W Polsce (w Częstochowie) prowadzi Ogólnopolskie Centrum Myśli Montfortańskiej (OCM), bursę i akademik dla młodzieży, a zarazem dom pielgrzymkowy. Obecnie na świecie jest 1300 Braci, w 34 krajach świata, w 19 prowincjach Zgromadzenia, a także prawie 100 nowicjuszy, w większości pochodzących z Azji i Afryki. W Polsce jest 5 Braci, w tym brat z Polski przebywający na formacji zakonnej. Wspólnota wciąż się rozrasta. Obecnie Przełożonym Generalnym jest br. John Kallarackal z Indii, przebywający w Domu Generalnym w Rzymie. (pl)
