- Magno Malta (born October 16, 1957) is a Brazilian fundamentalist evangelical pastor, religious singer, and politician. He has represented Espírito Santo in the Federal Senate from 2003 to 2019 and was re-elected for a separate term that starts in 2023. He is a member of the Liberal Party and is a staunch ally of President Jair Bolsonaro. Previously he was city councillor in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, serving as a member of PTB, a State Deputy from Espírito Santo from 1995 to 2003, serving as a member of the MDB, and a Federal Deputy from Espírito Santo from 1999 to 2003, serving as a member of the short-lived Social Labor Party before it merged with the Liberal Party. Since 2007, he has been involved in many scandals including embezzlement, nepotism, bribing and emission of fake bill of goods. Some of these accusations are believed to be the cause of his loss in the 2018 Senate election, placing third. (en)
- Magno Pereira Malta (Macarani, 16 de outubro de 1957) é um pastor evangélico, fundamentalista religioso, cantor e político brasileiro, filiado ao Partido Liberal (PL). Foi senador pelo Espírito Santo de 2003 a 2019 e reeleito em 2022. Ingressou na vida pública em 1993, quando foi eleito vereador, e posteriormente foi deputado estadual e federal. Foi membro do Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB), do Partido Liberal (PL), onde foi eleito como senador, em 2002, do Partido do Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (PMDB) e Partido Social Trabalhista, antes de se filiar ao PR. Ficou conhecido por ser presidente da Comissão Parlamentar de Inquérito sobre narcotráfico, enquanto deputado federal, e por presidir a Comissão da Pedofilia, no Senado Federal. Nas eleições 2018, não conseguiu se reeleger como senador pelo seu estado, ficando em terceiro lugar na disputa. (pt)
