- Ludwig I. (der Ältere), Graf von Sayn zu Wittgenstein (* 7. Dezember 1532 auf Schloss Wittgenstein; † 2. Juli 1605 auf der Reise bei Altenkirchen) regierte ab 1558 die Grafschaft Wittgenstein an den Oberläufen von Lahn und Eder.
