- L'atac indi de rei (de vegades citat amb l'acrònim anglès KIA, de King's Indian Attack), i conegut també com a sistema Barcza (en honor de Gedeon Barcza), és un sistema d'obertura d'escacs per a les blanques, notablement utilitzat per Bobby Fischer. L'obertura no consisteix en una sèrie de moviments jugats en un ordre específic, però força un sistema que pot ser jugat amb diversos ordres de moviments diferents. - The King's Indian Attack (or KIA), also known as the Barcza System (after Gedeon Barcza) is a chess opening system for White, characterized by several moves. The center pawns are developed to e4 and d3, the knights are developed to d2 and f3, the king's bishop fianchettoes at g2 following the g-pawn's movement to g3, and White castles kingside. The resulting arrangement has multiple positional themes: the pawn at d3 and the knight at d2 both defend the pawn at e4, the knight at f3 attacks the center, the fianchettoed bishop may influence the center following subsequent moves, and castling removes the king to safety while bringing a rook into the game. Unlike other chess openings, The King's Indian Attack is not a specific sequence of moves, but rather a system for White where the moves may be permuted at the player's discretion, in response to the moves of the black pieces. - L'attacco est-indiano è un sistema di apertura degli scacchi. Non può essere considerata un'apertura vera e propria, in quanto si può presentare attraverso diversi ordini di mosse, prescindendo in linea di massima dalle risposte del Nero, in modo da raggiungere uno schieramento simile a quello illustrato nel diagramma. Questo sistema può presentarsi dopo 1.e4, nel caso il nero non risponda 1...e5, ma opti per la difesa francese, la Caro-Kann o la siciliana, ma si origina anche spesso dopo 1.Cf3, oppure dopo 1.g3 o 1.d3. Il bianco prosegue fianchettando l'alfiere e sostenendo il pedone in e4 con d3, e arroccando. In pratica il bianco vuole raggiungere una posizione simile a quella della difesa est-indiana, ma a colori invertiti e disponendo di un tempo in più. La strategia del bianco consiste nel cercare di avanzare il pedone da e4 ad e5, proteggendolo poi attraverso Te1 e Af4, per poi attaccare l'arrocco avversario con h4; il nero a sua volta tenta di avanzare i propri pedoni sul lato di Donna. Numerosi e brillanti esempi di questo sistema si possono rintracciare nelle partite di campioni mondiali come Vasilij Smyslov, Bobby Fischer e Tigran Petrosyan. (it)
