- In Trance je v pořadí třetí studiové album německé hard rockové a heavy metalové skupiny Scorpions, vydané v roce 1975. Oproti přechozím dvěma album "Lonesome Crow" a "Fly to the Rainbow" se již neneslo v duchu progresivního rocku a krautrocku. Zvuk byl hardrockový až heavymetalový a skladby byly kratší. Stejně jako na předchozím albu některé skladby zpívá kytarista Uli Jon Roth, konkrétně skladby "Dark Lady" a "Sun in My Hand", jejichž je autorem. Píseň "Night Lights" je také první čistě instrumentální skladba kapely. Její autorem je rovněž Uli Jon Roth. Jedná se také o první album kapely, které obsahuje dnes již slavné logo a dále kontroverzní obal alba - fotografie modelky s odhalenou hrudí, která byla později zatmavena...jde o první z mnoha cenzurovaných obalů desek této skupiny. Živé album Tokyo Tapes z roku 1978 obsahuje z tohoto alba skladby "Dark Lady", "In Trance", "Top of the Bill" a "Robot Man". (cs)

Instead, a hard rock sound of shorter and tighter arrangements with which the band would achieve their later global success and fame emerged. Grabado en los Dierks Studios en Colonia, es además el primer trabajo de la agrupación con el productor Dieter Dierks, cuyas recomendaciones, como acortar la duración de las canciones y dejar atrás las influencias del rock psicodélico, ayudaron a potenciar a Scorpions en los mercados internacionales. Con un sonido más ligado al hard rock y al heavy metal que sus antecesores Lonesome Crow (1972) y Fly to the Rainbow (1974), In Trance presentó por primera vez al característico logotipo de la banda, como también a su primera portada que generó polémica en algunos mercados. Una vez que salió a la venta, logró ser el disco del sello RCA más vendido en Japón en 1975.
