Haplogroup C-M48 also known as C2b1a2 is a Y-chromosome DNA haplogroup. It is found frequently amongst members of Central Asian and Siberian peoples, such as the Evenks, Evens, Ulchi, Kazakhs, Koryaks, Mongols (especially Oirats, such as Kalmyks, Zakhchin, Uriankhai, and the population of northwest Mongolia in general), and Yukaghirs.
