Haitham Hazem Mohamed Hassan (Arabic: هيثم حازم محمد حسن; born 8 November 1978) is an Egyptian former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke, butterfly, and individual medley events. He collected a total of six medals (one gold, one silver, and four bronze) from the All-Africa Games, and later represented Egypt at the 2000 Summer Olympics. While studying in the United States, Hassan was named 2000 Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Year and 2001 Swimmer of the Year by The Summit League. He also played for the Oakland University's swimming and diving team, under head coach Pete Hovland.
