- HMS Tabard (Kennung: P342) war ein U-Boot der britischen Royal Navy und der Royal Australian Navy. Das U-Boot wurde erst nach Kriegsende in Dienst gestellt, so dass es nicht mehr zu einem Kampfeinsatz kam. Die Tabard gehörte zu den Einheiten der T-Klasse, deren Druckkörper komplett verschweißt war. 1950/51 wurde das Boot generalüberholt und entsprechend dem „Super-T“-Konzept modernisiert. 1962 übernahm die australische Marine das U-Boot. Am 8. Mai 1963 kollidierte es bei einer U-Jagd-Übung mit der Fregatte . Beide Einheiten erlitten geringe Schäden und wurden auf der bei Sydney überholt. 1969 kehrte die Tabard nach Großbritannien zurück und blieb bis 1974 in Gosport fest vertäut. Sie diente als Trainingsboot für die Ausbildung von U-Boot-Besatzungen und war somit das letzte britische T-Klasse-Boot im Dienst der Royal Navy. Das letzte britische Boot der Klasse im aktiven Seeeinsatz war die 1969 außer Dienst gestellte . Die Tabard wurde am 2. Januar 1974 als Schrott verkauft und im März desselben Jahres abgebrochen. (de)
- HMS Tabard was a British submarine of the third group of the T class. She was built by Scotts, Greenock, and launched on 21 November 1945. So far she has been the only boat of the Royal Navy to bear the name Tabard, after the item of clothing. Having been launched after the war, she was selected, along with a number of boats of her class, to try out new streamlining techniques based on the German Type XXIII submarine. In May 1963, she was involved in a collision with HMAS Queenborough, and on 10 February 1964 she underwent exercises with HMAS Melbourne and HMAS Voyager in the hours before their collision. When she returned to the UK, she became the static training submarine at the shore establishment HMS Dolphin, until 1974 when she was sold and broken up. (en)

Construit au chantier naval Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Company à Greenock, il est lancé le 21 novembre 1945. Il est le premier (et jusqu’à présent, le seul) navire de la Royal Navy à porter le nom de Tabard, d’après le vêtement. Lancé après la guerre, il a été sélectionné, avec un certain nombre de bateaux de sa classe, pour expérimenter de nouvelles techniques hydrodynamiques basées sur les sous-marins allemands U-Boot type XXIII.
