- Der Giro al Sas ist ein Straßenlauf in Trient, der seit 1945 ausgerichtet wird. Die Anfänge des Rennens liegen im Giro di Trento, einem Lauf, der erstmals 1907 anlässlich des Festes des Stadtpatrons Vigilius von Trient stattfand. Die durch die beiden Weltkriege unterbrochene Tradition wurde 1945 durch die heutige Veranstaltung wiederaufgenommen, die seitdem mit Ausnahme der Jahre 1991 und 1996 jährlich stattgefunden hat. Die Streckenlänge beträgt derzeit 10 km. Gelaufen wird auf einem Rundkurs von einem Kilometer im Zentrum Trients mit Start und Ziel am Domplatz. (de)
- The Giro al Sas, also known as the Giro Podistico di Trento and the Giro Internazionale Città di Trento, is an annual 10-kilometre road running competition for men which takes place in October in the city of Trento, Italy. First held as a part of celebrations for Saint Vigilius of Trent in 1907, the competition was interrupted by World Wars but has been held virtually every year since 1945. This makes it one of Europe's longest-running competitions of its type. The race has been won by some of Italy's most successful long-distance runners, including Stefano Baldini, as well as elite foreign athletes such as Paul Tergat and Kenenisa Bekele. The race is held within the city centre and starts and finishes at Piazza del Duomo. The name of the race, roughly translated as the Sas Circuit, derives from the fact that the course features ten kilometre-long loops on the main city streets – which are locally referred to as al Sas. The running event should not be confused with the similarly named Giro del Trentino – a road cycling competition which the city has hosted since 1963. (en)
- Il Giro al Sas è una gara internazionale di corsa su strada di 10 km che si svolge in ottobre nel centro storico della città di Trento. Venne ideata nel 1907 per onorare il santo patrono della città, San Vigilio. La gara, interrotta durante la guerra, è proseguita poi costantemente dal 1945. La gara, una delle più antiche d’Europa, è stata vinta da alcuni dei più grandi atleti campioni di atletica leggera tra cui Stefano Baldini, Paul Tergat, Kenenisa Bekele, Muktar Edris e Jacob Kiplimo. La gara inizia e finisce nel salotto buono della città in Piazza Duomo di fronte alla fontana del Nettuno e prende il nome dalle strade su cui si sviluppa il percorso che è la passeggiata dei trentini denominata proprio 'Giro al Sas'. L’evento è inserito nel Trento Running Festival un week end dedicato alla corsa che comprende anche la Trento Half Marathon oltre ad altre competizioni dedicate a tutte le età. (it)
