- حرية الدين في ألمانيا هي حرية ممنوحة بموجب المادة الرابعة من الدستور الألماني، وتنص على أن «حرية الدين والضمير وحرية الاعتراف بمعتقدات الفرد الدينية أو الفلسفية هي حريات مقدسة، وتمنح المادة الرابعة أيضًا حرية الممارسة الدينية غير المُنتَهكة». تنص المادة الثالثة أيضًا على أنه «لا يجوز تمييز أو تفضيل أي شخص بسبب جنسه أو أصله أو عرقه أو لغته أو وطنه أو منشأه أو عقيدته أو آرائه الدينية أو السياسية». يمكن لأي شخص أو منظمة الاتصال بالمحكمة الدستورية الفيدرالية في ألمانيا للحصول على مساعدة مجانية. يساعد نظام دعم الدولة الألماني للمؤسسات الدينية المستقلة جميع الأديان بالتساوي من حيث المبدأ، وذلك على الرغم من عدم قدرته على أن يشمل بعض ديانات الأقليات بشكل كامل من الناحية العملية. منحت الحكومة معظم المجتمعات الدينية الرئيسية في البلاد حالة «مؤسسة القانون العام» والتي توفر العديد من الفوائد. واجهت التقاليد التي تفتقر إلى هيكل وطني منظم مركزي -الإسلامية منها خصوصًا- صعوبة في الحصول على حالة مؤسسة القانون العام والفوائد التي تأتي معها. - Die Religionsfreiheit (auch Weltanschauungsfreiheit) stellt in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ein Grundrecht dar, das in Art. 4 des Grundgesetzes (GG) normiert ist. Kraft europäischen Rechts ist die Religions- und Weltanschauungsfreiheit durch die Charta der Grundrechte der Europäischen Union gewährleistet. Völkerrechtlich ist Deutschland u. a. aufgrund der Europäischen Menschenrechtskonvention zum Schutz der Religions- und Weltanschauungsfreiheit verpflichtet. Ihr Schutz umfasst sowohl Religionen als auch Weltanschauungen. Unterteilt wird sie in die positive und negative Religionsfreiheit. Als positive Religionsfreiheit wird die Freiheit des Grundrechtsberechtigten bezeichnet, eine religiöse oder weltanschauliche Handlung vorzunehmen. Die negative Religionsfreiheit verbietet dem Staat, den Bürger zu einer religiösen oder weltanschaulichen Handlung zu verpflichten. (de)
- Freedom of religion in Germany is guaranteed by article 4 of the German constitution. This states that "the freedom of religion, conscience and the freedom of confessing one's religious or philosophical beliefs are inviolable. Uninfringed religious practice is guaranteed." In addition, article 3 states that "No one may be prejudiced or favored because of his gender, his descent, his race, his language, his homeland and place of origin, his faith or his religious or political views." Any person or organization can call the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany for free help. The German system of state support for otherwise independent religious institutions assists all religions equally in principle, though in practice it has been unable to fully encompass some minority faiths. The government has granted most of the country's major religious communities "public law corporation" (PLC) status – Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts in German – which allows for numerous benefits. Traditions that lack a centrally organized national structure – most notably Islam – have had difficulty attaining PLC status and the benefits that come with it. (en)
