- تاريخ العائلة أو التاريخ العائلي (بالإنجليزية: Family history) ويُعرف اختصارًا FH أو FHx، مُصطلح طبي، يتكون من المعلوماتِ حول الاضطرابات التي عانى منها أقاربِ الدمِ المباشر للمريض. عادةً ما يحتوي علم الأنساب على معلوماتٍ قليلة جدًا حول التاريخ الطبي للعائلة، ولكنَ التاريخ الطبي للعائلة يُمكن اعتبارُه مجموعةً فرعية من التاريخ الكلي للعائلة. تُساعد المعرفة الدقيقة للتاريخ الطبي لعائلة المريض على تحديد أي احتماليةٍ لحدوثِ مرضٍ مُعين، والتي يُمكن أن تُساعد على اتخاذ قراراتٍ طبية مُبكرة مما يُساعد على الإدراة الفعالة للمرض أو حتى الوقاية منه. - In medicine, a family history (FH or FHx) consists of information about disorders of direct blood relatives of the patient. Genealogy typically includes very little of the medical history of the family, but the medical history could be considered a specific subset of the total history of a family. Accurate knowledge of a patient's family history may identify a predisposition to developing certain illnesses, which can inform clinical decisions and allow effective management or even prevention of conditions. - En médecine, les antécédents familiaux consistent en des informations au sujet de troubles dont ont souffert des parents directs du patient. L'exploration des antécédents familiaux fait partie de tout examen clinique et complète l'anamnèse. Cette recherche des antécédents familiaux est utile pour plusieurs raisons :
* Certains maladies sont transmises selon les lois de la génétique (par exemple la chorée de Huntington affecte 50 % des enfants des patients atteints) ;
* La présence de certaines maladies chez les parents peut accroître statistiquement le risque chez les descendants même s'il n'y a pas de facteur génétique connu à ce jour ;
* Certains comportements des ascendants peuvent avoir un impact sur les descendants : comportement alimentaire, exposition à la fumée du tabac, etc. L'histoire familiale peut cependant se révéler imprécise, par exemple en cas d'adoption, de naissance d'enfant illégitime, de doute sur le diagnostic réel des ascendants, de perte de contact entre les membres de la famille.
