- Durrow Abbey is a historic site in Durrow, County Offaly in Ireland. It is located off the N52 some 5 miles from Tullamore. Largely undisturbed, the site is an early medieval monastic complex of ecclesiastical and secular monuments, visible and sub-surface. The extant monuments at the site include a large ecclesiastical enclosure, five Early Christian grave slabs, a fine mid-ninth century high cross, a fragment of a cross shaft, a complete cross-head (housed in the National Museum of Ireland) and cross base, a holy well and other extensive archaeological features. Hugh de Lacy, Lord of Meath built a motte for the Abbey in 1180, and he was killed at the Abbey in 1186 by an Irishman. (en)

- L'Abbaye de Durrow est un lieu célèbre situé près de Tullamore en Irlande. Dans ce monastère est censé avoir été créé au Xe siècle un livre enluminé, dénommé Livre de Durrow, une œuvre dans la même lignée que le Livre de Kells. Aujourd'hui l'abbaye n'est plus intacte, il reste néanmoins des pierres tombales, une enceinte, un puits saint et de nombreux autres morceaux de monuments. Une église et une grande maison ont été construites sur le site entre les XVIIIe et XXe siècles. L'abbaye a été fondée par saint Columba tout comme l'abbaye de Kells. La fondation date de 553. Le lieu est entouré de chênes. Il a été racheté par l'État irlandais en 2003.
