- El Tiroteo del Dawson College ocurrió el 13 de septiembre de 2006 en el Dawson College en Westmount, Quebec, una aglomeración de la ciudad de Montreal en Canadá. El perpetrador, Kimveer Gill empezó a disparar desde el Boulevard Maisonneuve en la entrada del instituto y luego se trasladó a la cafetería en la planta principal. En el lugar, una estudiante murió y otros 19 resultaron heridos, de los cuales ocho de ellos requirieron cirugía. El tirador se suicidó de un disparo en la cabeza luego de ser herido en un brazo por parte de un policía. The perpetrator, Kimveer Singh Gill, began shooting outside the de Maisonneuve Boulevard entrance to the school, and moved towards the atrium by the cafeteria on the main floor. One victim died at the scene, while another 19 were injured, eight of whom were listed in critical condition, with six requiring surgery. The shooter later committed suicide, after being shot in the arm by a police officer. It was the third fatal school shooting in Montreal, after the École Polytechnique massacre in 1989 and the shooting spree at Concordia University in 1992. (en)

En 25-årig man, , började skjuta utanför ingången till skolan och rörde sig sedan vidare, vilt skjutande, mot cafeterian. Vittnen sade att mördaren dödades i eldstrid med polisen. Senare framkom det att polisen endast skottskadat Gill och på det viset oskadliggjort honom och stoppat hans framfart, varpå Gill tog sitt eget liv. En person (exklusive Kimveer Gill) dödades och 19 andra skadades i skolmassakern. Kimveer Gill hade före massakern postat bilder på sig själv på Internet, tagna i sitt rum där han poserar med vapen och en lång svart rock (likt de som mördarna i Columbinemassakern i april 1999 bar under dådet för att dölja sina vapen under).
