- La llista de composicions de Franz Schubert comprèn tota l'obra d'aquest compositor. Franz Schubert (31 de gener de 1797 – 19 de novembre de 1828), un darrer compositor clàssic i un primerenc compositor vienès romàntic, va deixar una extensa obra malgrat la seva curta vida: va morir als 31 anys. Va escriure unes 1500 peces agrupades en col·leccions, cicles i altres conjunts. El grup més nombrós són els més de 600 lieder per a veu i piano. Va compondre també moltes peces de piano, i més de 150 part songs, unes 40 composicions litúrgiques (incloent-hi diverses misses) i unes 20 feines obres escèniques com òperes i música incidental. La seva producció orquestral inclou 12 simfonies (7 acabades) i diverses overtures. Pel que fa a la música de cambra, té gairebé 20 quartets de corda, i diversos quintets, trios i duets. Otto Erich Deutsch va compilar el primer catàleg d'obres de Schubert i el va publicar el 1951 com a Schubert: Thematic Catalogue of all his Works in Chronological Order. Una edició revisada aparegué a Alemanya el 1978. Edicions posteriors del catàleg contenen actualitzacions menors. Es van publicar obres de Schubert quan era viu, i catalogades amb un número d'opus. El 1965, Dover Publications van iniciar la reimpressió d'aquesta edició, i més tard es va poder accedir a l'obra a la pàgina web de l'IMSLP.
* La Neue Schubert-Ausgabe (NSA), també coneguda com la New Schubert Edition (NSE), va ser publicada per Bärenreiter (Kassel). Apareix en 83 volums, agrupats en 8 sèries. He wrote over 1500 items, or, when collections, cycles and variants are grouped, some thousand compositions. The largest group are his over six hundred Lieder for solo voice and piano. He composed nearly as many piano pieces, and further some 150 part songs, some 40 liturgical compositions (including several masses) and around 20 stage works like operas and incidental music. His orchestral output includes thirteen symphonies (seven completed) and several overtures. Schubert's chamber music includes over 20 string quartets, and several quintets, trios and duos. Otto Erich Deutsch compiled the first comprehensive catalogue of Schubert's works and published it in 1951 as Schubert: Thematic Catalogue of all his Works in Chronological Order. A revised edition appeared in German in 1978. Later editions of the catalogue contained minor updates. Publication of Schubert's compositions started during his lifetime, by opus number. After the composer's death, posthumous opus numbers continued to be assigned to new publications of his work until 1867 (Op. post. 173). Meanwhile, publications without opus number had also started. For instance, from shortly after the composer's death, the many songs in Diabelli's fifty Nachlaß-Lieferung (installment from the heritage) editions. There are two attempts to publish everything Schubert has composed in a single edition:
* From 1884 to 1897 Breitkopf & Härtel published twenty-two series of Franz Schubert's Werke: Kritisch durchgesehene Gesammtausgabe, known as the Alte Gesamt-Ausgabe (AGA, the former complete edition). From 1965 Dover Publications started to reprint this edition, and later it was made available at the IMSLP website.
