- Claudi Mamercí o Mamertí (en llatí Claudius Mamertinus) va ser un alt funcionari i un escriptor de panegírics romà del segle iii, amb dues obres recollides als "Panegyrici Latini". La primera, Claudii Mamertini Panegyricus Maximiano Heraclio dictus, es va escriure el 21 d'abril del 289 i estava dedicada a Maximià. La segona, Claudii Mamertini Panegyricus Genethliaecs Maximiano Augusto dictus, es va escriure en honor de l'aniversari de l'emperador, es va escriure entre l'1 d'abril del 291 i l'1 de març del 292. Una tercera obra sota el títol Mamertini pro Consulatu Gratiarum Actio Juliano Augusto, pertany a l'any 362 i va ser llegida a Constantinoble poc després de pujar al tron Julià l'Apòstata, per Claudi Mamercí, cònsol d'aquell any i abans Prefecte de l'Erari i prefecte d'Il·líria i segurament era una persona diferent de l'autor dels altres dos panegírics. - Claudius Mamertinus (fl. mid-late 4th century AD) was an official in the Roman Empire. In late 361 he took part in the Chalcedon tribunal to condemn the ministers of Constantius II, and in 362, he was made consul as a reward by the new Emperor Julian; on January 1 of that year he delivered a panegyric in Constantinople by way of thanks to the Emperor. The text of this is extant, preserved in the Panegyrici Latini. Claudius Mamertinus later went on to become praetorian prefect of Italy, Africa, and Illyria before being removed from public office in 368 for embezzlement. The panegyric text is followed by two panegyrics from three quarters of a century earlier, addressed to the Emperor Maximian (the first delivered in 289 and the second in 290 or 291). The text of the Panegyrici that has survived also attributes these to Claudius Mamertinus; it is unclear whether there was an older orator of the same name or the text is corrupt. They have also been attributed to Eumenius but later scholarship disputes that attribution. (en)

- Claudius Mamertinus leefde in het midden van de 4e eeuw. Hij bekleedde verschillende functies in dienst van het Romeinse Rijk. In het najaar van 361 nam hij deel aan het tribunaal van Chalcedon, waar de ministers van Constantius II werden veroordeeld. In 362 werd hij uit dank hiervoor door de nieuwe keizer Julianus tot consul benoemd. Op 1 januari van dat jaar sprak hij in Constantinopel bij wijze van dank aan de keizer een panegyriek (lofrede) op hem uit. De tekst van de lofrede heeft de eeuwen doorstaan en is bewaard gebleven in de Panegyrici Latini. Het wordt daar gevolgd door twee panegyrieken die 75 jaar eerder waren uitgesproken ter ere van keizer Maximianus (de eerste in 289 en de tweede in 290 of 291). De tekst van deze Panegyrieken wordt ook een Mamertinus toegeschreven, het is niet duidelijk of dit een oudere redenaar met dezelfde naam was of dat de tekst is gecorrumpeerd. Zoals hierboven reeds aangegeven werd Claudius Mamertinus in 362 consul. Na zijn consulaat was hij gouverneur in Italia, Africa en Illyria.
