- Die Zirkuspolka (vollständiger Originaltitel: Circus Polka: For a Young Elephant) ist ein Instrumentalstück von Igor Strawinsky, das ursprünglich 1942 für eine Ballettproduktion des Choreografen George Balanchine für den Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus komponiert wurde. Aufgeführt wurde die Zirkuspolka von einem aus je 50 Elefanten und Ballerinen bestehenden Ballett. 1944 veröffentlichte Strawinsky eine Orchesterfassung der Zirkuspolka, die seitdem zum Standardprogramm vieler Orchester zählt. Het werk werd voor het eerst uitgevoerd tijdens een ballet van olifanten in 1942. Er bestaat een versie voor blaasinstrumenten, in een arrangement van en de orkestratie van Stravinsky zelf. De opdracht voor het werk liep via George Balanchine.Als contrasubject gebruikte Stravinsky voor het werk een citaat uit de Marche Militaire van Franz Schubert.De compositie is in totaal 425 keer gebruikt voor het olifantenballet, maar het is later ook gebruikt voor een choreografie voor menselijke dansers.
