- تحليل قياسات الرأس (السيفالوميتري) (بالإنجليزية: Cephalometric analysis) هو تحليل قياسات الرأس وعلاقة الأسنان بالجمجمة البشرية وتوظيفها في التطبيق السريري لتخدم المجالات الطبية ومجالات طب الأسنان. يستخدم تحليل قياسات الرأس في طب الأسنان -وخاصة في مجال تقويم الأسنان- من أجل قياس حجم العظام وعلاقة الأسنان والفكين والجمجمة بواسطة أطباء الأسنان والمختصين في تقويم الأسنان وجراحي الوجه والفكين ليساعدهم في وضع خطة العلاج لمرضى تقويم الأسنان ومتابعة الحالة خلال فترة العلاج. تُعد طريقة تحليل شتاينر (الذي سمي على اسم سيسيل سي شتاينر) وطريقة تحليل داونز (الذي سمي على اسم ويليام بي داونز) من أكثر طرق تحليل قياسات الرأس شيوعًا والمستخدمة في مجال تقويم الأسنان. - Die Fernröntgenanalyse ist eine Methode, die in der Zahnmedizin, Kieferorthopädie und Kieferchirurgie verwendet wird. Anhand eines Lateralfernröntgens (auch Fernröntgenaufnahme, ein Röntgenbild auf dem der ganze Schädel im Profil abgebildet ist) werden bestimmte eindeutig definierte kephalometrische Bezugspunkte bestimmt, und durch eine sog. Durchzeichnung Winkel, Strecken und Normalabstände bestimmt. Anhand von Normen können so besonders hervorstechende Merkmale eines Schädels bestimmt werden (z. B. ein prominentes Kinn). Innerhalb der Forschung gibt es mehrere Schulen der Durchzeichnung. Die am weitesten verbreitete ist die Durchzeichnung nach HASUND. (de)

Two of the more popular methods of analysis used in orthodontology are the Steiner analysis (named after Cecil C. Steiner) and the Downs analysis (named after William B. Downs).
