- Die zentrale Schwarzerde-Region (russisch Центрально-Чернозёмная область) ist ein in Zentralrussland gelegener Teil des eurasischen Schwarzerdegürtels. Sie umfasst die Oblast Woronesch, Oblast Lipezk, Oblast Belgorod, Oblast Tambow, Oblast Orjol und Oblast Kursk. Zwischen 1928 und 1934 waren diese Gebiete auch administrativ in eine mit der Hauptstadt in Woronesch zusammengefasst. Die zentrale Schwarzerde-Region ist bekannt für ihre sehr fruchtbaren Schwarzerde-Böden, die ihr ihren Namen gaben. Obwohl die Region primär landwirtschaftlich genutzt wurde, förderten hier die Sowjets auch die Industrie, basierend auf den Eisenerzen der Kursker Magnetanomalie. - The Central Black Earth Region, Central Chernozem Region or Chernozemie (Russian: Центрально-черноземная область, Центральная черноземная область, Центрально-черноземная полоса) is a segment of the Eurasian Black Earth belt that lies within Central Russia and comprises Voronezh Oblast, Lipetsk Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, Tambov Oblast, Oryol Oblast and Kursk Oblast. Between 1928 and 1934, these regions were briefly united into Central Black Earth Oblast, with the centre in Voronezh. The Black Earth Region is famous for its high quality soil, called Chernozem (Black Earth). Although its importance has been primarily agricultural, the Chernozem Region was developed by the Soviets as an industrial region based on iron ores of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly. The area contains a biosphere nature reserve called Central Black Earth Nature Reserve (42 km2 (16 sq mi)). It was created in 1935 within the Kursk and Belgorod oblasts. Entre 1928 y 1934, estas regiones fueron brevemente unificadas como el óblast de Chernozem Central, con capital en Vorónezh. La región de Chernozem Central es famosa por su suelo muy bueno, llamado Chernozem (Tierra Negra), de ahí el nombre. Su producción agrícola y abastecimiento a Rusia de trigo le valió el sobrenombre de «el granero de Rusia». Aunque su importancia ha sido ante todo agrícola, la región de Chernozem se desarrolló por los soviéticos como una región industrial centrada en las minas de hierro de la anomalía magnética de Kursk.
