- تشكلت الرقابة في البرازيل، الثقافية والسياسية على حد سواء، خلال الفترة التي تلت السيطرة الاستعمارية على البلاد. تعاني البرازيل اليوم بعض الرقابة غير الرسمية على الرغم من انتهاء معظم الرقابة الحكومية قبل فترة إعادة الديمقراطية التي بدأت في عام 1985. يقيد التشريع الحالي حرية التعبير المتعلقة بالعنصرية، ويحظر الدستور عدم الكشف عن هوية الصحفيين. - Censorship in Brazil, both cultural and political, occurred throughout the whole period following the colonization of the country. Even though most state censorship ended just before the period of redemocratization that started in 1985, Brazil still experiences a certain amount of non-official censorship today. The current legislation restricts freedom of expression concerning racism (Paim Law) and the Constitution prohibits the anonymity of journalists. (en)
- A censura no Brasil, tanto cultural como política, ocorreu durante todo o período após a colonização do país. Embora a maioria da censura estatal tenha terminado pouco antes do período da redemocratização que começou em 1974, o Brasil ainda experimenta uma certa quantidade de censura não oficial hoje. A legislação atual restringe a liberdade de expressão em relação ao racismo, tipificado como crime, e a Constituição atual, promulgada em 1988, proíbe o anonimato embora a liberdade de expressão seja cumprida.
