- آلهة الخلق الأزتيكية (بالإنجليزية: Aztec creator gods) هم أربعة أبناءٍ، فقط، في ميثولوجيا الأزتيك. وهم أبناء الزوجين الخالقين أوميتيوتل وأوميكيوتل "سيد وسيدة الطباق، الثنائية، الإزدواجية، الخنثوية"، "سيد وسيدة البداية والنهاية"، "أبو وأمُّ الأرباب"، أبو وأمُّ الجميع". الذين وهِبُوا هِبة الخلق؛ ليخلقوا المزيد من الكائنات الحيَّة لكن ليس بحسب الطريقة التقليدية (الإنجاب)، وهم يقيمون في أعلى مستوى من الجنة الأسطورية في المستوى الثالث عشر المسمى إلهويكاتل-أوميوكان، مكان الازدواجية/الثنائية. - In Aztec mythology, Creator-gods are the only four Tezcatlipocas, the children of the creator couple Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl "Lord and Lady of Duality", "Lord and Lady of the Near and the Close", "Father and Mother of the Gods", "Father and Mother of us all", who received the gift of the ability to create other living beings without childbearing. They reside atop a mythical thirteenth heaven Ilhuicatl-Omeyocan "the place of duality". Each of the four sons takes a turn as Sun, these suns are the sun of earth, the sun of air, the sun of fire, the sun of water (Tlaloc, rain god replaces Xipe-Totec). Each world is destroyed. The present era, the Fifth Sun is ushered in when a lowly god, Nanahuatzin sacrifices himself in fire and becomes Tonatiuh, the Fifth Sun. In his new position of power he refuses to go into motion until the gods make sacrifice to him. In an elaborate ceremony, Quetzalcoatl cuts the hearts out of each of the gods and offers it to Tonatiuh (and the moon Meztli). All of this occurs in the ancient and sacred, pre-Aztec city of Teotihuacan. It is predicted that eventually, like the previous epochs, this one will come to a cataclysmic end. The Tezcatlipocas created four couple-gods to control the waters by Tlaloc and Chalchiuhtlicue; the Earth by Tlaltecuhtli and Tlalcihuatl; the underworld (Mictlan) by Mictlantecuhtli and Mictecacihuatl; and the fire by Xantico and Xiuhtecuhtli. - Los Tezcatlipocas en la mitología mexica son los dioses hacedores del universo vertical y horizontal de la cosmogonía náhuatl, siendo los hijos únicos de la pareja primigenia Ometecuhtli y Omecíhuatl, de los cuales recibieron la habilidad de creación. Estos dioses son los únicos que pueden crear otros seres vivos sin procrearlos. Las cuatro parejas de dioses que crearon fueron Tláloc & Chalchiuhtlicue (agua), Tlaltecuhtli & Tlalcíhuatl (tierra), Mictlantecuhtli & Mictecacíhuatl (muerte) y Xiuhtecuhtli & Chantico (fuego). Los númenes mexicas se transforman, multiplican su personalidad para poder cumplir con todas sus acciones divinas, de esta manera una deidad puede ser benévola o malévola, ser la madre de su propia abuela, destruir lo que ha procreado, ser dinámica y estática, omnipresente, ubicua, ambivalente, polifacética, y por lo tanto tener tantos nombres como acciones realice, y tantas características como su naturaleza lo requiera. Por lo que no se confunda interpretar extractos metafóricos al ver a la diosa Coatlicue como descendiente de la pareja creadora Ometecuhtli y Omecíhuatl y además como la madre de la misma al considerarla como la "madre de los dioses" o bien como "la deidad abuela". Para lograr un acercamiento a la clasificación de los dioses y a una interpretación de su significado simbólico en la apreciación que del universo tiene los pueblos mesoamericanos, principalmente bases tomadas desde las investigaciones de Francisco Javier Clavijero, Alfredo Chavero, Francisco del Paso y Troncoso, Manuel Orozco y Berra y Bernardino de Sahagún.
