- أحمد نجيب الشابي هو محامي وسياسي تونس رئيس جبهة الخلاص الوطني (تونس) ، ولد اريانة في 30 جويلية 1944, متزوج وله 5 أبناء.تعليمه : -زوال تعليمه الابتدائي بالمدرسة الفرنكو-عربية بأريانة-زاول تعليمه الثانوي بمعهد الإمام مسلم ثم بمعهد «كارنو» بتونس حيث تحصل على شهادة البكالوريا علوم سنة 1964-إتجه إلى فرنسا لمواصلة تعليمه العالي في الطب ثم تخلى عن هذا التوجه بعد سنتين للالتحاق بكلية القانون نظراً لاهتمامه ونشاطه السياسي-إنقطع عن الدراسة سنة 1968 بعد اعتقاله على خلفية نشاطه السياسي وحكم عليه ب11 سنة سجناً قضى منها سنتان.- أتم السنة الثانية في دراسة الحقوق بنجاح سنة 1971 بالجزائر حيث تحصل على لجوء سياسي- تفرغ للعمل السياسي لمدة 13 سنة إنقطع فيها عن الدراسة ليعود سنة 1981 لدراسة الحقوق- ختم دراسته للحقوق سنة 1983, وبدأ ممارسة المحاماة سنة 1984مهنياً -أثناء إقامته الجبرية بمدينة باجة عمل بالشركة الجهوية للنقل بباجة، ثم تم نقله للسرس بسبب نشاطه النقابي حيث عمل بالبلدية،- في المحاماة، ترافع الأستاذ أحمد نجيب الشابي في عديد القضايا السياسية وأهمها:
* قضية انتفاضة الحوض المنجمي 2008
* قضية توفيق بن بريك سنة 2009
* قضية زهير مخلوف سنة 2010 سياسياً - انطلق أحمد نجيب الشابي طالبا بعثيّا، وساهم في تكوين الخلايا الأولى للبعث في تونس.- اعتقل في 1968 عقب التحرّكات الطلابيّة وحكم عليه ب11 سنة سجنا قضى منها سنتان ثمّ تمّ تحويله للإقامة الجبريّة بالشمال الغربي- انخرط في تنظيم «العامل التونسي» في بداية السبعينات وكان من بين أكثر أعضائه نشاطا في الهجرة،- عاد إلى تونس سرّا في 27 ديسمبر 1977 بعد اعتقال مجموعة من قيادات «العامل التونسي»، رغم صدور أحكام غيابيّة في حقّه مجموعها 21 سنة سجنا- سنة 1981 قرّر اعتماد سياسة النضال العلني وأسّس حزب «التجمع الاشتراكي التقدمي» الذي تحصّل على تأشيرة العمل القانوني سنة 1983- سنة 1984 أسّس جريدة «الموقف» وأصدر أوّل أعدادها- كان من بين السياسيين التونسيين الممضين على الميثاق الوطني سنة 1988- أعلن سنة 1991 القطيعة مع نظام بن علي بسبب معارضته للنهج الأمني في معالجة القضايا السياسية- ترشّح سنة 2004 وسنة 2009 للانتخابات الرئاسية لكنّ ترشّحاته كانت تواجه بتعديلات دستوريّة تقصيه في كلّ مرّة.- في 2005 خاض إضرابا عن الطعام إلى جانب سبعة مناضلين آخرين لمدّة شهر تزامنا مع «القمّة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات» احتجاجا على التضييق على الحريات- ساهم في تأسيس «هيئة 18 أكتوبر للحقوق والحريات» التي وحّدت الجزء الأهمّ من المعارضة التونسية على قاعدة الدفاع على الحريات السياسية لجميع التونسيين.- خاض إضرابا ثانيا عن الطعام سنة 2007 إلى جانب ميّة الجريبي دفاعا على مقرّ جريدة الموقف ومقرّات الحزب الديمقراطي التقدّمي في الجهات، عندما انطلق النظام في إخراجهم منها.- انضمّ إلى أوّل حكومة بعد الثورة واختار تولّي مهمّة وزير التنمية المحلّيّة شارك سنة 1983 في تأسيس التجمع الاشتراكي التقدمي وهو أحد الأحزاب السياسية التي أنشئت إثر الانتخابات التشريعية دورة 1981 ثم حصل الحزب على التأشيرة سنة 1988.وفي سنة 2006 وبعد 23 سنة من قيادة الحزب ترك منصب الأمانة العامة للسيدة مية الجريبي لتكون بذلك أول امرأة تتولى منصب مماثل في تونس. في أكتوبر 2011 انتخب نائبا في المجلس الوطني التأسيسي عن دائرة تونس 2. - Ahmed Najib Chebbi (Arabic: أحمد نجيب الشابي, French: Ahmed Néjib Chebbi) or simply Najib Chebbi (born 30 July 1944) is a Tunisian attorney and politician. Chebbi is a prominent figure of the Tunisian opposition movement; in 1983, he founded the Democratic Progressive Party, which gained legal recognition in 1988. He is currently the leader of the Democratic Progressive Party. In 2006, Maya Jribi became the party's secretary-general, the first woman to hold such office in Tunisia. In 2009 Chebbi attempted to run as a candidate for President of Tunisia but was barred from running. In response to former authoritarian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's statement during the 2010–2011 Tunisian protests promising 300,000 new jobs would be created and criticizing the protests, Chebbi said that despite official claims of police firing in self-defense that "the demonstrations were non-violent and the youths were claiming their rights to jobs" and that "the funeral processions [for those killed on January 9] turned into demonstrations, and the police fired [at] the youths who were at these .. processions." He then criticised Ben Ali's comments as the protesters were "claiming their civil rights, and there is no terrorist act...no religious slogans," while accusing Ben Ali of "looking for scapegoats." He further criticised the additional jobs offered as mere "promises." Following the ousting of Ben Ali on 14 January 2011, Prime Minister Mohammed Ghannouchi contacted Chebbi and other opposition leaders in hopes of creating a coalition government until elections can be held. Chebbi "said he demanded parliamentary elections be held within six or seven months." On 15 January 2011, Chebbi was noted by Al Jazeera as one of three potential successors (the only one mentioned not to have been part of the Ben Ali government) to become President of Tunisia following the proposed 2011 general election to occur within six months. It noted however that "if he is to be a contender in the next presidential election, he will need to widen his appeal." Chebbi was named Minister of Regional Development in the new government on 17 January 2011, but he resigned in March 2011 after less than two months in his post. (en)

- Ahmed Néjib Chebbi (arabe : أحمد نجيب الشابي), ou simplement Néjib Chebbi, également orthographié Ahmed Néjib Chabbi, né le 30 juillet 1944 à Tunis, est un avocat et homme politique tunisien. Militant de gauche et figure de l'opposition au régime de Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali, il participe en 1983 à la fondation du Rassemblement socialiste progressiste, l'un des partis politiques créés à la suite des élections législatives de 1981 puis légalisés après le 7 novembre 1987. Il dirige le parti prenant par la suite le nom de Parti démocrate progressiste (PDP). En 2006, après 23 ans passés à la tête de la formation, il cède son poste de secrétaire général à Maya Jribi, la première femme à occuper une telle fonction en Tunisie. En 2009, il tente de se présenter à l'élection présidentielle malgré le fait qu'il ne remplisse pas les critères fixés à l'occasion du scrutin. Un mois avant le dépôt officiel des candidatures, il annonce renoncer, en dénonçant ce qu'il considère comme un scrutin faussé. Après la chute de Ben Ali, le 14 janvier 2011, il est pour quelques semaines ministre du Développement régional et local au sein du nouveau gouvernement, puis membre de l'assemblée constituante. (fr)
