Deu partits es van jugar entre el 18 de gener i el 15 de març. Gal·les s'enduria el títol per 18a vegada, començant una sèrie de victòries que s'allargaria en dues edicions posteriors consecutives. Una derrota contra Escòcia en terreny escocès, privaria als gal·lesos del Grand Slam i de la Triple Corona. El partit entre Escòcia i Gal·les a l'estadi de Murrayfield a Edimburg, disputat l'1 de març, va atreure una assistència rècord de 104.000 espectadors. - The 1975 Five Nations Championship was the forty-sixth series of the rugby union Five Nations Championship. Including the previous incarnations as the Home Nations and Five Nations, this was the eighty-first series of the northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 18 January and 15 March. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The championship was won by Wales, the team's eighteenth title (excluding another nine shared championships). The game between Scotland and Wales at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 1 March attracted a World Record rugby attendance of 104,000 fans. This record would not be broken until a Bledisloe Cup game between Australia and New Zealand attracted 107,042 to the Sydney Olympic Stadium in 1999. The attendance at Murrayfield remains the Championship's record crowd, the record attendance in Europe and the third highest rugby attendance in history. With Scotland winning 12-10 it was the only loss for the Welsh during the 1975 Five Nations. (en)

Il torneo fu vinto dal Galles, al suo ventottesimo titolo.I gallesi subirono una sola sconfitta nel torneo, 10-12 contro la Scozia al Murrayfield di Edimburgo che, per l'occasione, registrò la — all'epoca — più alta affluenza mondiale per un incontro di rugby, record che resse per 24 anni per essere superato nel 1999 dallo Stadium Australia di Sydney per Australia – Nuova Zelanda (107042). L'Inghilterra, nonostante il cucchiaio di legno con una sola vittoria, tuttavia si aggiudicò la Calcutta Cup, essendo stata contro la Scozia la sua unica affermazione in tale edizione di torneo.
