dbo:abstract	The 1945–46 Panhellenic Championship was the 12th season of the highest football league of Greece and the first after the WW2. The clubs that participated were the champions from the three founding football associations of the HFF: Athens, Piraeus and Macedonia. The championship was won by Aris for their 3rd title. Initially, with the completion of all 6 matches, Aris held the first place in the standings. But then the HFF accepted the objections of his opponents for illegal use of the player Siotis (which he played in two clubs at the same season), awarding 2–0 in their favor, the last 3 of his 4 games (an away draw against AEK Athens and home wins against Olympiacos and AEK), while at the same time zeroed the club of Thessaloniki for those games. For a few days, the ranking was formed with the declaration of the AEK as champion by the HFF and Aris bringing the issue to its general assembly. In the end, Aris was vindicated in the appeal and won the title. The point system was: Win: 3 points - Draw: 2 points - Loss: 1 point. Σε αντίθεση με το τελευταίο πριν τον Β' ΠΠ (1939-40), μετείχαν αποκλειστικά σύλλογοι από τις τρεις ιδρυτικές της Ενώσεις ΕΠΣ Αθηνών, ΕΠΣ Πειραιώς, ΕΠΣ Μακεδονίας (στην ουσία Θεσσαλονίκης) και μάλιστα μόνον οι πρωταθλητές τους. Πραγματοποιήθηκε σε διπλές συναντήσεις και διάστημα ενός μήνα (30 Μαΐου-30 Ιουνίου 1946), με νικητής να αναδεικνύεται ο Άρης για τρίτη φορά στη διοργάνωση και τελευταία της ιστορίας του. Η ΑΕΚ, με δεδομένη την πίεση χρόνου για έναρξη του Πανελλήνιου, ορίστηκε να μετάσχει λόγω καλύτερης αναλογίας (συντελεστή) τερμάτων από τον Αστέρα Αθηνών, καθώς η ΕΠΣΑ υποχρεώθηκε από την ΕΠΟ να διακόψει το αθηναϊκό πρωτάθλημα 7 αγωνιστικές πριν τη λήξη του. Στην κατάταξη ακολουθούσαν οι Παναθηναϊκός, Φωστήρ Ταύρου και Πανιώνιος Σμύρνης, διατηρώντας περισσότερες ή λιγότερες πιθανότητες για κατάκτηση του τίτλου και άρα να προκριθούν εκείνοι αντί της ΑΕΚ. Το ίδιο συνέβη στο αντίστοιχο της ΕΠΣΠ, αλλά με ματαίωση ενός μόλις αγώνα και μαθηματικά εξασφαλισμένη την κατάληψη της κορυφής από τον Ολυμπιακό Πειραιώς. Με την ολοκλήρωση και των 6 αναμετρήσεων, την πρώτη θέση της βαθμολογίας κατείχε ο Άρης. Στη συνέχεια όμως η Ομοσπονδία έκανε δεκτές τις ενστάσεις των αντιπάλων του για αντικανονική χρησιμοποίηση του σέντερ χαφ Σιώτη (αγωνίστηκε σε δύο σωματεία την ίδια περίοδο), κατακυρώνοντας με αποτέλεσμα 2-0 υπέρ τους, τους τελευταίους 3 από τους 4 αγώνες του (ισοπαλία εκτός έδρας με ΑΕΚ και νίκες εντός επί ΟΣΦΠ, ΑΕΚ), ενώ παράλληλα μηδένισε το σύλλογο της βόρειας Ελλάδας για αυτά. Επί κάποιες ημέρες η κατάταξη είχε διαμορφωθεί: ΑΕΚ 11 βαθμοί — Ολυμπιακός 9 — Άρης 1, με ανακήρυξη της Ένωσης ως πρωταθλήτριας από την ΕΠΟ και τους Θεσσαλονικείς να φέρνουν –μέσω της ΕΠΣΜ– το ζήτημα στη γενική της συνέλευση. Τελικά, δικαιώθηκαν στην έφεση που είχαν υποβάλει και κατέκτησαν εκείνοι τον τίτλο.
