- سيفان نيشانيان (بالأرمنية: Սեւան Նշանեան) و (بالتركية: Sevan Nișanyan) هو كاتب ومدون وفيلسوف أرمني تركي ولد في يوم 21 ديسمبر 1956 في مدينة إسطنبول في تركيا، تلقى تعليمه في الفلسفة من جامعة ييل وثم تعلم العلوم السياسية في جامعة كولومبيا، اشتهر بنقده للسياسة التركية وللإسلام، ألف كتاب الجمهورية الزائفة وكتاب قاموس التأصيل وحاز على جائزة الحرية في سنة 2004، تم القبض عليه بتهمة بناء غير قانوني في حديقته وحكم بالسجن لمدة 17 سنة، أتهمت الحكومة التركية فيما بعد أن محاكمته كانت سياسية، ذكر أنه هرب من السجن في يوليو 2017 ليستقر فيما بعد في بلجيكا. - Sevan Nishanyan o Nişanyan (en armenio occidental Սեւան Նշանեան, nacido el 21 de diciembre de 1956) es un escritor y lingüista turco-armenio. Autor de varios libros como La República Equivocada, sobre el Estado de Turquía, o El diccionario etimológico sobre el origen de las palabras turcas, entre otros. Nişanyan recibió el premio Ayşe Nur Zarakolu Liberty Award de la Asociación Turca de Derechos Humanos en 2004 por sus contribuciones a una mayor libertad de expresión en el país. También es reconocido por su trabajo de restauración de un pueblo semiabandonado, , cerca de la costa turca del mar Egeo. Sevan Nişanyan recibió una sentencia acumulativa de prisión de 16 años y 7 meses por supuestas infracciones de construcción, luego de que criticara los intentos del gobierno de prohibir las críticas del profeta Mahoma en una entrada de blog en septiembre de 2012. Escapó de la prisión en julio de 2017 y se mudó a Atenas, donde tenía la intención de solicitar asilo político, según relata en su entrevista al diario belga La Libre Belgique. Posteriormente se fue a vivir al exilio en Samos, afirmando que está «agradecido con la providencia de que los cabrones que gobiernan Turquía le dieron, sin querer, esta espléndida oportunidad». En octubre de 2021, mientras visitaba Albania, las autoridades griegas lo declararon persona non grata y se le prohibió volver a entrar, y siendo el motivo «secreto de Estado». Su indeseabilidad, según , fue la información que los agentes locales de Samos pasaron a la policía como si «el turco estuviera comprando bienes raíces», lo que, de suceder, violaría la ley sobre la no compra de bienes inmuebles por parte de extranjeros en algunas zonas fronterizas. El 7 de enero de 2022, la justicia griega desestimó el caso, prohibiendo cualquier deportación a Turquía. La Embajada de Armenia en Grecia dijo que Nişanyan debe abandonar Grecia voluntariamente dentro de los 15 días de acuerdo con la decisión judicial, y agregó que, como es ciudadano armenio, «puede ir a Armenia si lo desea». - Sevan Nişanyan (Western Armenian: Սեւան Նշանեան; born 21 December 1956) is a Turkish-Armenian writer and linguist. An author of a number of books ("The Wrong Republic", "The Etymological Dictionary" and others), Nişanyan was awarded the Ayşe Nur Zarakolu Liberty Award of the Turkish Human Rights Association in 2004 for his contributions to greater freedom of speech. He is also known for his work to restore a semi-derelict village, Şirince, near Turkey’s Aegean coast. Sevan Nişanyan was given a cumulative prison sentence of 16 years and 7 months for alleged building infractions, after he criticized the government’s attempts to prohibit the prophet Muhammad's criticism in a blog entry in September 2012. He escaped from the prison in July 2017 and moved to Athens, where he intended to apply for political asylum, as stated in his interview to the Belgian daily La Libre Belgique. He subsequently went to live in exile in Samos, stating that he is "grateful to the providence that the goatfuckers who run Turkey gave him, unintentionally, this splendid opportunity." In October 2021, while visiting Albania, he was reportedly declared persona non grata by the Greek authorities and banned from re-entry, with reason said to be a state secret. His undesirability, according to Athens Voice, was the information passed to the police by local Samos agents as if "the Turk is buying real estate", which, if it happened, would violate the law on non-purchase of real estate by foreigners in some border areas. On January the 7th, 2022, the Greek justice dismissed the case, prohibiting any deportation to Turkey. The Armenian Embassy in Greece said Nişanyan must leave Greece voluntarily within 15 days according to the court decision, adding that as he is a citizen of Armenia, "he can leave for Armenia if he wishes”.
