- Die MRT-Station Dhoby Ghaut ist eine Tunnel-Station an der North South Line, der North East Line und der Circle Line im Museumsviertel von Singapur. Die Station Dhoby Ghaut befindet sich am östlichen Ende der Orchard Road und ist die erste und einzige MRT-Station in Singapur, die über eine dreifache Umsteigelinie verfügt. Damit ist sie die größte Station nach Anzahl der Linien. Die bereits bestehenden MRT-Stationen Outram Park und Marina Bay werden jedoch 2021 ebenfalls zu Dreifach-Umsteigebahnhöfen, sobald die MRT-Linie eröffnet ist. Die Lage des Bahnhofs Dhoby Ghaut entlang des beliebten Einkaufsgürtels Orchard Road und die Anbindung an drei MRT-Linien machen diesen Bahnhof zu einem der verkehrsreichsten Stationen im Netz. Dhoby Ghaut ist nach der MRT-Station Bras Basah, der MRT-Station Promenade und der MRT-Station Bencoolen die vierttiefste MRT-Station in Singapur. Sein tiefster Punkt liegt 28 Meter unter der Erde. Der Streckenabschnitt zwischen dieser Station und der ist der kürzeste zwischen zwei Stationen der North South Line. Es dauert ungefähr 1 Minute, bis ein Zug zwischen diesen beiden Bahnhöfen verkehrt. Die Station ist auch eine der vier MRT-Stationen, die in der originalen Singapur-Ausgabe des Brettspiels Monopoly zu sehen sind. - Dhoby Ghaut MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South, North East and Circle lines in Singapore. Located beneath the eastern end of Orchard Road shopping belt in Dhoby Ghaut, Museum Planning Area, the station is integrated with the commercial development The Atrium@Orchard. The station is near landmarks such as The Istana, the MacDonald House, Plaza Singapura and Dhoby Ghaut Green. Dhoby Ghaut station was part of the early plans for the original MRT network since 1982. It was constructed as part of Phase I of the MRT network which was completed in 1987. Following the network's operational split, the station has been served by the North South line since 1989. To construct the North East line platforms, which were completed in 2003, the Stamford Canal had to be diverted while excavating through part of Mount Sophia. The Circle line platforms opened in 2010 along with Stages 1 and 2 of the line. Dhoby Ghaut station is one of the deepest and largest stations, with five underground levels. Its deepest point is at 28 metres (92 ft) below ground. The station features many forms of artworks, three of them under the Art-in-Transit scheme in the North East line and Circle line stations, a set of Art Seats at the Circle line platforms, and an art piece above the North South line platforms. Pada 17 April 2010 ketika Jalur Lingkar dibuka, maka stasiun ini menjadi satu-satunya stasiun persimpangan tiga jalur di Singapura dan juga yang terbesar. Karena demikian luasnya stasiun ini dilengkapi travelator, dan merupakan salah satu dari dua stasiun di Singapura yang menggunakan travelator di area berbayar, satunya di Stasiun MRT Serangoon. Jalur Utara Selatan stasiun ini dikembangkan pada 2002 sebagai tahap pertama pengembangan stasiun yang selesai pada 2006. Perusahaan SMRT mengoperasikan Jalur Utara Selatan dan Jalur Lingkar, sementara SBS Transit mengoperasikan Jalur Utara Timur.
