- The Conspiracy of the Slaves (Maltese: il-konġura tal-ilsiera or il-konfoffa tal-ilsiera) was a failed plot by Muslim slaves in Hospitaller-ruled Malta to rebel, assassinate Grand Master Manuel Pinto da Fonseca and take over the island. The revolt was to have taken place on 29 June 1749, but plans were leaked to the order before it began; the plotters were arrested and most were later executed. (en)

Pemberontakan direncanakan terjadi pada 29 Juni 1749, tetapi rencana tersebut terungkap dan diketahui oleh Ordo tersebut sebelum terlaksana, dan para perencananya ditangkap dan sebagian besar kemudian dieksekusi mati. - Le complot du Bacha à Malte en 1749 est un vaste complot fomenté par le Bacha (ou Pacha) de Rhodes visant à soulever les esclaves musulmans et prendre le pouvoir dans l'île de Malte. Il aurait pu réussir sans un concours de circonstance rendant l’histoire digne d'un roman d'aventures. La conjuration a été largement racontée et commentée à l'époque ; la Bibliothèque nationale de Malte en conserve six récits en italien, un en portugais, un autre en français et deux discours. Le récit le plus proche des évènements a été publié la même année par un acteur de l'histoire, le chevalier Paul-Antoine de Viguier (1702-1774). (fr)

Revolt of the Slaves) – nieudany spisek muzułmańskich niewolników na rządzonej przez Zakon Joannitów Malcie, mający na celu wywołanie rebelii, zamordowanie wielkiego mistrza Manuela Pinto i przejęcie wyspy. Rewolta miała rozpocząć się 29 czerwca 1749 roku, lecz plany zostały zdradzone zakonowi jeszcze przed jej rozpoczęciem. Spiskowcy zostali aresztowani i większość z nich później stracono. (pl)
