Tell Barri (ancient Kahat) is a tell, or archaeological settlement mound, in north-eastern Syria in the Al-Hasakah Governorate. Its ancient name was Kahat as proven by a threshold found on the south-western slope of the mound. Tell Barri is situated along the Wadi Jaghjagh, a tributary of the Khabur River. It lies 22 kilometers away from the site Tell Arbid and 8 kilometers north of the ancient city of Nagar (Tell Brak).

(en) Tell Barri ist ein Tell im Gouvernement al-Hasaka Nordostsyrien und liegt dort am Naḫr Jaqjaq, einem Zufluss des Chabur. Er wird mit der antiken Stadt Kaḫat identifiziert; eine Zuordnung, die seit dem Fund einer entsprechenden Inschrift auf einem Türsturz als gesichert gilt. In unmittelbarer Nähe zu Tell Barri liegt der mächtige Tell Brak. Der Tell erhebt sich rund 30 m über die umliegende Ebene und hat eine Oberfläche von etwa 37 Hektar. Archäologische Ausgrabungen fanden dort in den 1960ern und wieder seit 2006 statt. Se le identifica con la antigua ciudad de Kahat, como lo demuestra una inscripción en un umbral que se encuentra en la ladera suroeste del montículo. Tell Barri está situado a lo largo del Uadi , un afluente del río Jabur. (es)
