Hamid Habib bay oglu Gasimbayov (3 May 1923, Nakhchivan – 22 April]] 2005, Baku) is an Azerbaijani USSR military officer, vice admiral. In 1945, he participated in military operations against Japan. He was awarded with the Order of the Red Star for his service with minesweeper No. 604, under heavy artillery fire and attack by Japanese aircraft. In 1957, he was appointed commander of the military defense brigade of the Soviet Navy in Świnoujście, Poland. In 1970, he was appointed Chief of the General Military Staff of the Baltic Sea Navy.
