Trankwice [trankˈfit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stary Targ, within Sztum County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Stary Targ, 15 km (9 mi) east of Sztum, and 60 km (37 mi) south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk. Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, 1772-1945 Prussia and Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania. The village has a population of 220.
