| - El monestir de Cârța era a l'edat mitjana un assentament monàstic cistercenc de la terra de Făgăraș, una branca de l'abadia d'. L'establiment del monestir de fou datat el 1202, en tot cas durant el regnat del rei Emeric. Més tard, el rei Andreu II d'Hongria va proporcionar certs privilegis per a aquest assentament. El rei Matthias Corvinus va abolir el monestir el 27 de febrer de 1474 i va transferir els seus béns a l'Església de la Preposició de Sibiu. Tot el monestir es troba en estat de ruïna, fins ara només una capella era utilitzada per la comunitat evangèlica saxona. El monestir cistercenc Cârța va tenir un paper important tant en la història política, econòmica i cultural de la Transsilvània medieval, com en la introducció i difusió de l'art gòtic a l'espai intracarpàtic. - Das Kloster Kerz (deutsch Unserer lieben Frau zu den Kerzen, rumänisch Mănăstirea Cârța, lateinisch Sancta Maria de candelis) ist eine ehemalige Zisterzienserabtei in Siebenbürgen, Rumänien. Es war das am weitesten südöstlich (innerhalb Europas, ohne Griechenland und Türkei) gelegene Zisterzienserkloster und lag im Ort Cârța (Kerz) bei Hermannstadt. (de)

- The Cârța Monastery (Romanian: [ˈkɨrtsa]) is a former Cistercian (Benedictine) monastery in the Țara Făgărașului region in southern Transylvania in Romania, currently an Evangelical Lutheran church belonging to the local Saxon community. It lies on the left bank of the Olt River, between the cities of Sibiu and Făgăraș, close to the villages of Cârța (German Kerz, Hungarian: Kerc) and Cârțișoara (German: Kleinkerz). The monastery was probably founded in 1202–1206 by monks from Igriș Abbey (daughter house of Pontigny Abbey), and was disbanded in 1494, when the apostolic legate Ursus of Ursinis ratified Cârța Abbey's attachment to the Provostship nullius of Sibiu. The Cistercian monastery introduced and helped develop French Gothic art in the region. (en)
- El monasterio de Cârța /ˈkɨrʦa/ (en rumano: Mănăstirea Cârța) es un antiguo monasterio cisterciense en la región Ţara Făgărașului en el sur de Transilvania (Rumania). En la actualidad está consagrada como iglesia luterana evangélica perteneciente a la comunidad local de los sajones. Se encuentra en la margen izquierda del río Olt, entre las ciudades de Sibiu y Făgăraş, cerca de las localidades de Cârța y Cârțișoara. El monasterio fue fundado en 1198 por los monjes de la abadía Igriș, y se disolvió en 1494. El monasterio cisterciense colaboró en el desarrollo del arte gótico francés en la región. (es)
