- Das Internationale Theaterinstitut (ITI), französisch Institut international du théâtre, englisch International Theatre Institute, ist ein weltumspannendes internationales Theaternetzwerk, das seit 1948 unter dem Schirm und als offizielle Partnerorganisation der UNESCO dem wechselseitigen Austausch der Theaterschaffenden und der besseren Verständigung der Kulturen dient. Es ist derzeit in 86 Ländern mit nationalen Zentren vertreten. Der Sitz des ITI-Generalsekretariats ist Paris und Shanghai. Präsident der Organisation ist seit 2014 (Fudschaira/UAE). Aus Deutschland hatten Ivan Nagel (von 1977 bis 1979) und Manfred Beilharz (von 2002 bis 2008) das Amt inne. Generaldirektor ist Tobias Biancone (Schweiz). (de)

Institut International du Théâtre) – założony w 1948 w Pradze przez osiem państw, w tym Polskę, aktualnie skupiający około stu ośrodków narodowych. Obecnie działa pod auspicjami UNESCO. Instytut rozwija kontakty wśród twórców, wymianę doświadczeń między twórcami, inicjuje i wspiera badania nad teatrem, organizuje konferencje i odczyty, udziela stypendiów, rozwija kontakty międzynarodowe, tworzy Międzynarodową Akademię Sztuk Scenicznych, patronuje festiwalowi Teatru Narodów i obchodom corocznego Międzynarodowego Dnia Teatru.
