Fu una personalità tanto famosa che (così vuole la leggenda) bastava scrivere sulla busta "Frau Emma in Europa" perché qualsiasi missiva arrivasse a destinazione. Merito di tanta celebrità pare fosse dovuto all'ottima e nutriente cucina tirolese curata da lei stessa.
