- The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as COP27, was the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference, held from 6 November until 20 November 2022 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. It took place under the presidency of Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, with more than 92 heads of state and an estimated 35,000 representatives, or delegates, of 190 countries attending. It was the first climate summit held in Africa since 2016. The conference has been held annually since the first UN climate agreement in 1992. It is used by governments to agree on policies to limit global temperature rises and adapt to impacts associated with climate change. The conference led to the first loss and damage fund being created. (en)

- La Conférence de Charm el-Cheikh de 2022 sur les changements climatiques, dite COP 27, est une conférence internationale de l'Organisation des Nations unies qui se déroule du 6 au 18 novembre 2022 à Charm el-Cheikh au bord de la mer Rouge en Égypte, pays organisateur. Sameh Choukri, ministre égyptien des Affaires étrangères, en est le président. Elle réunit les pays signataires de la Convention-cadre des Nations unies sur les changements climatiques (CCNUCC). Elle constitue également la 17e réunion des parties au Protocole de Kyoto (CMP 17) et la quatrième réunion des parties à l'Accord de Paris de 2015 (CMA 4). La conférence s'achève le 20 novembre, avec trente-sept heures de retard par rapport à la clôture officielle, après de nombreuses difficultés pour établir un compromis sur la rédaction du compte rendu final. De conferentie liep anderhalve dag uit. Het was de 27ste Conference of the Parties (COP27) in het kader van het Klimaatverdrag (UNFCCC). De conferentie volgde op de Klimaatconferentie van Glasgow 2021 – COP26. De 27ste conferentie was aanvankelijk gepland voor 2021. Vanwege de coronapandemie die een jaar eerder was uitgebroken werd COP26 echter pas aan het eind van 2021 gehouden, waarna COP27 mee opschoof. Klimaatconferenties worden door regeringen gebruikt om overeenstemming te bereiken over beleid om de wereldwijde temperatuurstijgingen te beperken en zich aan te passen aan de gevolgen van klimaatverandering.
