- La 64a Mostra Internacional de Cinema de Venècia es va inaugurar el 29 d'agost de 2007 amb Atonement de Joe Wright i va tancar el 8 de setembre de 2007. L'amfitriona de l'esdeveniment fou l'actriu italiana Ambra Angiolini. El Lleó d'Or a la carera va ser lliurat al director estatunidenc Tim Burton. Un cop més, totes les pel·lícules que es presentaren al concurs es van mostrar per primera vegada com a estrenes mundials, d'acord amb la tradició del festival des de la Segona Guerra Mundial. (ca)
- The 64th annual Venice International Film Festival, held in Venice, Italy, opened on 29 August 2007, with Joe Wright's Atonement and closed 8 September 2007. Host of the event was Italian actress Ambra Angiolini. The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to American director Tim Burton. Once again all the films running the contest were shown for the first time as world premieres in keeping with the festival tradition since the Second World War. (en)
- Die 64. Internationalen Filmfestspiele von Venedig (64. Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica) fanden vom 29. August bis zum 8. September 2007 statt. Eröffnet wurde das weltweit älteste Filmfestival, das neben den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Cannes und der Berlinale gleichzeitig zu den bedeutendsten zählt, mit Joe Wrights Abbitte. Die wichtigste der fünf Sektionen des Festivals war der internationale Wettbewerb, in dem 23 Filme um den Goldenen Löwen konkurrierten. Diese Auszeichnung ging schließlich an den taiwanischen Regisseur Ang Lee für den Thriller Gefahr und Begierde. 2007 wurden zwei Goldene Löwen als Ehrenpreise vergeben. Bernardo Bertolucci erhielt einen Preis anlässlich des 75. Jubiläums des Festivals und Tim Burton wurde mit dem Goldenen Löwen für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet. (de)

- 64. Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy w Wenecji odbył się w dniach 29 sierpnia−8 września 2007 roku. Imprezę otworzył pokaz brytyjskiego filmu Pokuta w reżyserii Joe Wrighta. W konkursie głównym zaprezentowano 23 filmy pochodzące z 11 różnych krajów. Jury pod przewodnictwem chińskiego reżysera Zhanga Yimou przyznało nagrodę główną festiwalu, Złotego Lwa, tajwańskiemu filmowi Ostrożnie, pożądanie w reżyserii Anga Lee. Drugą nagrodę w konkursie głównym, Nagrodę Specjalną Jury, przyznano ex aequo amerykańskiemu filmowi I’m Not There. Gdzie indziej jestem w reżyserii Todda Haynesa oraz francuskiemu filmowi Tajemnica ziarna w reżyserii Abdellatifa Kechiche'a. Honorowego Złotego Lwa za całokształt twórczości odebrali włoski reżyser Bernardo Bertolucci i amerykański reżyser Tim Burton. Galę otwarcia i zamknięcia festiwalu prowadziła włoska aktorka Ambra Angiolini. (pl)
