- Ōmori (大森) est un des quartiers de l'arrondissement de Ōta dans la ville de Tokyo, à quelques kilomètres au sud de Shinagawa. Avant son installation à Yokohama, le quartier accueillait l'. La présence de cette dernière a fortement contribué au développement du quartier notamment dans sa partie la plus chic, Ōmori-sannō, traditionnellement connu pour accueillir les maisons des poètes, philosophes et écrivains japonais. Le quartier abrite aussi le siège de l'entreprise automobile Isuzu, qui possède des bureaux dans un complexe à quelques centaines de mètres de la gare d'Ōmori. Avant de devenir un quartier résidentiel et d'affaires, Ōmori était traversé par un réseau de petites rivières qui étaient utilisées par de nombreux habitants afin de faire sécher la récole de nori. Quant au quartier moderne, il s'est construit dans une zone imprégnée de la religion shinto et cohabite avec de nombreux temples. Il n'est d'ailleurs pas rare d'y voir des mikoshi lors des processions. Ōmori est aussi connu pour avoir accueilli durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale un camp de prisonniers de guerre particulièrement brutal dirigé par le criminel de guerre Mutsuhiro Watanabe. (fr)

- Ōmori (大森) is a district located a few kilometres south of Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan accessed by rail via the Keihin Tohoku line, or by road via Dai Ichi Keihin. Ōmorikaigan, the eastern area of Ōmori, can be reached via the Keikyu line. Ōmori is one of many areas in Tokyo's largest ward, Ōta-ku, and was formerly home to the German International School before its relocation to Yokohama. High quality residential and retail developments that the German school attracted are present in the Ōmori-sannō area. Ōmori is home to the headquarters of the automotive company Isuzu, which has offices in the Belport complex a few hundred metres from Ōmori station. Prior to its development as a residential and business location, Ōmori was laced with a network of small rivers which were used by many locals for drying harvested nori (seaweed), a staple of the Japanese diet. Modern Ōmori is built on mostly reclaimed land, and is very much a traditional Shinto area. There are many Shinto shrines in the area, and during the August o-bon festival, mikoshi parades are very common. Ōmori-sannō, to the west of Ōmori station, is an upscale neighbourhood compared to the other side of the tracks. The area is known for the poets, philosophers, and writers who made their homes there.
