- Die SuperSport Rugby Challenge, bis 2015 Vodacom Cup, ist ein jährlich (außer 2016, 2020 und 2021), ausgetragenes Turnier im Rugby. Es findet zwischen April und Juli (bis 2016 zwischen Februar und Mai) in Südafrika statt und ist nach dem Currie Cup und Super Rugby der bedeutendsten Rugby-Wettbewerb des Landes. Ursprünglich war es als Entwicklungsturnier für die Super 14 geplant und erfüllt auch heute noch diese Aufgabe. Der Wettbewerb war bis 2015 nach dem Sponsor Vodacom und ist seit 2017 nach dem neuen Sponsor , einem südafrikanischen Fernsehsender, benannt. Der Wettbewerb wird seit 2005 in zwei regionalen Ligen ausgetragen (2005 Sektion X und Y, seit 2007 Nord und Süd). Seit 2010 nehmen zusätzliche, ausländische Mannschaften teil. Es handelt sich um die Welwitschia, die Auswahlmannschaft Namibias sowie zeitweilig um die Pampas XV, eine Mannschaft aus Argentinien. 2014 nahm zudem die Nationalmannschaft Kenias unter dem Namen Simba XV teil, 2019 mit der Zimbabwe Academy eine Auswahlmannschaft aus Simbabwe. Alle Spiele mit Ausnahme der Heimspiele der Welwitschias finden in Südafrika statt. (de)

Se celebró anualmente desde 1998 hasta el 2015 y contó con el patrocinio de Vodacom. Fue la tercera competición más prestigiosa de Sudáfrica, detrás del Super Rugby y la Currie Cup que se disputa entre julio y octubre. Se disputaba al mismo tiempo que el Super Rugby y funcionó como un concurso de desarrollo importante para el rugby de ese país. El concurso estaba abierto a las catorce uniones provinciales de rugby de Sudáfrica que también participan en la Currie Cup, pero también contó con equipos de invitación de fuera del país - los Welwitschias de Namibia jugaron en la competencia entre 1999 y 2001 y en 2010 y 2011, los Pampas XV de Argentina participaron entre 2010 y 2013 y los Simba XV de Kenia participarán en 2014. - The Vodacom Cup was an annual rugby union competition in South Africa. Annual Vodacom Cup competitions were played between its inaugural season in 1998 and 2015 and was contested between February and May each year. The Vodacom Cup was the successor of the Bankfin Nite Series which was played in 1996 and 1997. Mobile communications provider Vodacom was the title sponsor for the entire duration of the competition. The competition was the third most prestigious in South African rugby, behind Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. It was contested at roughly the same time as Super Rugby each season from February to June and featured a combination of Super Rugby players returning from injury, reserve players attempting to maintain their fitness levels and younger players trying to break through to the Super Rugby or Currie Cup sides. It therefore served as an important developmental competition for South African rugby. The competition was held every season between the fourteen South African rugby unions, but several additional teams also took part during the competition's history. The Limpopo Blue Bulls, officially a sub-union of the Blue Bulls, took part as a separate team between 2013 and 2015. Namibian side the Welwitschias played in the competition between 1999 and 2001, in 2010, 2011 and in 2015. Argentine side Pampas XV participated in the competition between 2010 and 2013 and a Simba XV from Kenya competed in 2014. The most successful teams in the history of the competition were Griquas and the Golden Lions, each winning it on five occasions. The Golden Lions also won the competition for three consecutive seasons between 2002 and 2004. Between 2001 and 2004, the competition was split into two tier, with the top half of teams competing for the Vodacom Cup and the bottom half competing for the Vodacom Shield. The final edition of the competition was in 2015, with SARU deciding to restructure the domestic competitions from the 2016 season onwards. A competition called the Rugby Challenge succeeded the Vodacom Cup in 2017. (en)
- La Vodacom Cup era una competizione sudafricana di rugby a 15; era, in ordine di importanza, il secondo torneo interno dopo la Currie Cup e il terzo assoluto dopo il Super Rugby, il campionato professionistico tra le franchige sudafricane, australiane e neozelandesi. Si teneva esattamente nello stesso periodo di svolgimento del Super Rugby ed era disputata tra le squadre locali che afferivano alle franchise sudafricane nel torneo maggiore. La prima edizione ebbe luogo nel 1998 e vide trionfare il Griqualand West in finale contro i Golden Lions. Tra il 1999 e il 2001 e tra il 2010 e 2011 oltre alle province sudafricane ha partecipato anche la Namibia con la squadra delle Welwitschias, mentre dal 2010 al 2013 vi ha partecipato pure una selezione argentina formata dai migliori giocatori del campionato nazionale (Pampas XV). Nel 2014 ha fatto il suo debutto nella competizione la selezione keniota Simba XV in sostituzione dei Pampas XV argentini. L'ultima edizione del torneo è stata nel 2015, quando la SARU ha deciso di ristrutturare le competizioni nazionali dalla stagione 2016 in poi. - Vodacom Cup – trzeci, po Super Rugby i Currie Cup, poziom męskich rozgrywek rugby union w Republice Południowej Afryki. Coroczne zawody organizował w latach 1998–2015. W zawodach uczestniczyły zespoły reprezentujące czternaście regionalnych związków rugby, lecz otwarte były one również dla drużyn z innych krajów – w niektórych latach brały w nich udział zespoły z Namibii, Argentyny i Kenii. Rozgrywki prowadzone były w pierwszej fazie systemem kołowym w dwóch geograficznie wydzielonych grupach, po czym czołowa czwórka z każdej grupy uzyskiwała awans do fazy pucharowej składającej się z ćwierćfinałów, półfinałów i finału. W sierpniu 2013 roku SARU ogłosił wprowadzenie systemu kontyngentowego – każdy z południowoafrykańskich zespołów od sezonu 2014 miał być zobowiązany do wystawienia w meczowym składzie minimum siedmiu czarnoskórych zawodników, w tym pięciu w wyjściowej piętnastce. W grudniu 2015 roku zawody zostały zlikwidowane z uwagi na znaczącą rozbudowę terminarza Currie Cup. (pl)
