Villa I Tatti, The Harvard Center for Italian Renaissance Studies is a center for advanced research in the humanities located in Florence, Italy, and belongs to Harvard University. La rivière qui traverse le domaine est citée par Boccace dans son poème arcadien Ninfale Fiesolano. Originellement propriété de la famille Zati, elle est cédée en 1563 à Giulio d'Alessandro del Caccia. Après une suite de changements de propriétaires au cours des siècles, elle devient en 1905 la propriété de l'historien d'art américain Bernard Berenson et de Mary Berenson son épouse. À partir de 1909, Berenson commandite aux architectes paysagistes anglais et la restauration de la maison et des jardins.
