Sie wird auf etwa 9000 v. Chr. datiert und fällt damit in das Präkeramische Neolithikum, womit sie zeitgleich zu den Stätten Göbekli Tepe (Präkeramisches Neolithikum A/B) und Nevalı Çori (Präkeramisches Neolithikum B) ist.
