- La Resolució 1283 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides fou adoptada per unanimitat el 15 de desembre de 1999.Després de reafirmar totes les resolucions sobre la situació a Xipre, inclosa la Resolució 1251 (1999), el Consell va prorrogar el mandat de la Força de les Nacions Unides pel Manteniment de la Pau a Xipre (UNFICYP) durant sis mesos més fins al 15 de juny de 2000. El Consell de Seguretat va convocar a Xipre i Xipre del Nord per abordar amb urgència la qüestió humanitària relacionada amb persones desaparegudes. Es va demanar al secretari general Kofi Annan que informés abans de l'1 de juny de 2000 sobre l'aplicació d'aquesta resolució. (ca)

- Resolusi 1283 Dewan Keamanan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa, diadopsi pada 15 Desember 1999. Setelah mengulang kembali resolusi-resolusi sebelumnya tentang topik tersebut, Dewan memperpanjang penugasan Pasukan Penjaga Perdamaian Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa di Siprus dengan periode tambahan, sekarang berakhir pada 15 Juni 2000. - United Nations Security Council resolution 1283, adopted unanimously on 15 December 1999, after reaffirming all resolutions on the situation in Cyprus, including Resolution 1251 (1999), the Council extended the mandate of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) for a further six months until 15 June 2000. The Security Council called upon Cyprus and Northern Cyprus to address the humanitarian issue relating to missing persons urgently. The Secretary-General Kofi Annan was requested to report by 1 June 2000 on the implementation of this resolution. (en)
