- Die Uganda-Grasantilope (Kobus thomasi), auch Uganda-Kob genannt, ist eine afrikanische Antilopenart aus der Gattung der Wasserböcke. Sie kommt im Westen und Nordwesten von Uganda, im Südsudan, westlich des Nils und im Nordosten der Demokratischen Republik Kongo vor. Populationen in den Steppen an den Ufern des Victoriasees im Südwesten von Kenia und Nordwesten von Tansania sind ausgestorben. Grund war die Bejagung und die Ausbreitung menschlicher Siedlungen. Elle est répartie en Afrique subsaharienne, au Soudan du Sud, en Ouganda et en République démocratique du Congo. Le Cob de Thomas est normalement brun rougeâtre, ce qui le différencie des autres sous-espèces de Cobs. The Ugandan kob is normally reddish-brown, differentiating it from other kob subspecies. A Ugandan kob appears on the coat of arms of Uganda, along with a grey crowned crane (Balearica regulorum gibbericeps), representing the abundant wildlife present in the country. (en)
