- Tuirenn, auch Turenn oder Tuireann, ist eine Sagengestalt aus der keltischen Mythologie Irlands. Tuirenn ist der Sohn Ogmas und der Vater Danus, Étaíns sowie der drei Brüder Brian, Iuchar und Iucharba, die in der Legende Aided Chlainne Tuirenn („Der Tod der Kinder Tuirenns“) stets als „die drei Söhne Tuirenns“ erwähnt werden. In anderen Versionen wird Delbaeth als deren Vater genannt, so dass eine Einheit der beiden Gestalten von manchen Keltologen erwogen wird. Mit Flidais hat er die Töchter Fand, Bé Chuma und Be Theite. Tuirenn wird manchmal auch mit Bricriu mit dem Beinamen Nemthega („Giftzunge“) gleichgesetzt, dem Titelhelden der Erzählung Fled Bricrenn („Bricrius Fest“). (de)

- In Irish mythology, Tuireann (Old Irish: Tuirenn or Tuirill Biccreo) was the father by Danu (or Brigid) of Creidhne, Luchtaine, and Goibniu. His other sons, by his daughter Danand, included Brian, Iuchar, and Iucharba, who killed Lugh's father Cian. As an erec (a recompense fine), they were sent on a quest recounted as Oidheadh Chlainne Tuireann (The Tragedy of the Sons of Tuireann), one of the Three sorrowful tales of Erin. After Lugh had taken his elaborate revenge, Tuireann died of grief over their graves. He is stated in various portions of Lebor Gabála Érenn to be the same person as Delbáeth mac Ogma, who is also credited as the father of Brian, Iuchar, and Iucharba. (en)
