- The Wonder Stuff ist eine englische Rockband. Die Band wurde 1986 in Stourbridge gegründet. Ende der 80er Jahre hatte sie in Großbritannien bereits Bekanntheit und positives Kritikerecho erlangt. Der große Durchbruch kam aber 1991, als The Wonder Stuff zusammen mit dem Komiker Vic Reeves den Song Dizzy von Tommy Roe neu aufnahmen und damit zwei Wochen Platz eins der UK Single Charts belegten. Weitere Top-10-Hits waren The Size of a Cow, Welcome to the Cheap Seats und On the Ropes. The Wonder Stuff sind nach einer Pause zwischen 1994 und 2000 heute noch aktiv, wenn auch mit weniger kommerziellem Erfolg als vor der Pause. (de)

- The Wonder Stuff are a British alternative rock band. Originally based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, England, the band's first lineup released four albums and nearly 20 singles and EPs, enjoying considerable chart and live success in the UK. The band have continued to tour and record since 2000. Largely the vehicle for the songwriting of Miles Hunt, the band split up with a farewell performance as headliners of the 1994 Phoenix Festival, but reformed in 2000 and have toured and recorded since then, with Hunt the anchor member of all line-ups. Known for their catchy songs and Hunt's sharp lyrics, the band's sound evolved from guitar pop to include sampling and elements of folk and country. The band - and Hunt in particular — were favourites of the UK music press, and were often associated with fellow Black Country acts Ned's Atomic Dustbin and Pop Will Eat Itself, with whom they have toured throughout their careers. The band scored one UK number 1 single, their release of "Dizzy" with comedian Vic Reeves, 17 top-20 single hits, and three top-10 albums in the UK. The band also toured internationally, and achieved some success in the United States, where they had six songs on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart. (en)

De eerste bezetting van de band bracht vier albums en bijna 20 singles en ep's uit, met veel hitparade- en livesucces in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De band is sinds 2000 blijven toeren en opnemen. De band ging uit elkaar met een afscheidsoptreden als headliners van het Phoenix Festival in 1994, maar werd in 2000 opnieuw geformeerd en heeft sindsdien getoerd en opgenomen, met Hunt als het belangrijkste lid van alle bezettingen. Bekend om hun aanstekelijke liedjes en Hunts scherpe teksten, evolueerde het geluid van de band van gitaarpop naar sampling en elementen van folk en country. De band - en Hunt in het bijzonder - waren favorieten van de Britse muziekpers en werden vaak geassocieerd met andere Black Country-acts Ned's Atomic Dustbin en Pop Will Eat Itself, met wie ze gedurende hun hele carrière hebben getoerd.
