- Zum Teufel mit Max (Originaltitel: The Devil and Max Devlin) ist eine US-amerikanische Fantasy-Komödie von mit Elliott Gould, Bill Cosby und Susan Anspach in den Hauptrollen, die von Walt Disney Pictures produziert wurde. Der Film wurde für einen Disney-Film kontrovers beurteilt; zum einen aufgrund des Themas des Films, zum anderen, da Bill Cosby untypischerweise einen bösen Charakter darstellte. Disney nahm diesen und drei weitere Filme zum Anlass, Touchstone Pictures und Hollywood Pictures zu gründen (und später Miramax und 20th Century Studios zu kaufen), um Filme für ein älteres Publikum produzieren und veröffentlichen zu können. - Max et le Diable (titre original : The Devil & Max Devlin) est un film américain de Steven Hilliard Stern sorti en 1981. Cette comédie fantastique réunit Elliott Gould et Bill Cosby, ce dernier dans un rôle de bras droit du Diable. Initialement prévu comme un production Hammer, les studios Disney achète le scénario de Jimmy Sangster dans le but de diversifier son public. Mais le succès du film n'est pas au rendez-vous et les critiques sont nombreuses. Elles concernent aussi bien le scénario que les acteurs dont la chanteuse Julie Budd. Le rôle diabolique de Bill Cosby est aussi critiqué, les acteurs noirs étant souvent cantonnés à ce genre de personnages secondaires. Le film est surtout connu pour avoir incité le studio Disney à fonder un label dédié pour les films plus adultes. (fr)
