- Die Promotion League ist seit der Saison 2012/13 die dritte Spielklasse im Schweizer Fussball. Die Einführung der Liga wurde vom Schweizerischen Fussballverband am 12. November 2010 im Rahmen der Reform der Challenge League beschlossen, welche am 21. Mai 2011 bestätigt wurde. Bis zur Umbenennung im Sommer 2014 hiess sie zunächst 1. Liga Promotion, seit 2021 wird die Liga unter ihrem Sponsoringnamen Yapeal Promotion League ausgetragen. (de)

Op 12 november 2010 stemde de Zwitserse voetbalbond in met de nieuwe competitie, die tussen de Challenge League en de 1. Liga (het toenmalige derde niveau, nu het vierde niveau). - La Promotion League è il massimo torneo di base del campionato svizzero di calcio e il terzo nell'organigramma generale. La manifestazione è stata inaugurata nella stagione 2012-2013. La sua nascita è stata decisa il 12 novembre 2010 nel quadro della riforma della Swiss Football League ed è stata ufficializzata il 21 maggio 2011. (it)
- 1. Liga Promotion – trzeci poziom rozgrywek ligowych w piłkę nożną w Szwajcarii. Liga powstała w sezonie 2012/13 w wyniku przeprowadzonej reformy w systemie ligowym Szwajcarii. Nową ligę utworzyły zespoły, z miejsc 12. - 16., które w poprzednim sezonie uczestniczyły w Swiss Challenge League. W ten sposób najwyższy poziom rozgrywek został zredukowany do 10 zespołów. Do spadkowiczów dołączyły dwa najlepsze zespoły z każdej z trzech grup regionalnych , najlepszy spośród zespołów, które zajęły 3. miejsce w tej lidze, i 4 najlepsze drużyny U-21. (pl)
