- Survivors ou Les Survivants en Suisse est une série télévisée britannique créée par d'après la des années 1970 tirée d'un roman de Terry Nation et diffusée depuis le 23 novembre 2008 sur BBC One. Elle a aussi été diffusée au Canada sur Showcase. En France, la série est diffusée à partir du 12 janvier 2010 sur NRJ 12 et depuis le 24 novembre 2012 sur La Chaîne de la Fin du Monde (chaîne événementielle diffusée par SyFy du 21 novembre au 21 décembre 2012). ; en Suisse romande, la série est présentée depuis le 12 janvier 2010 également, sur la chaîne TSR1, sous le nom Les Survivants (bien que, à l'écran, le générique soit toujours Survivors). - Survivors is a British science fiction television series produced by the BBC. It depicts the lives of a group of people who survived a virulent unknown strain of influenza which has wiped out most of the human species. According to the producers, the series is not a remake of the 1970s BBC television series Survivors (1975–1977), created by Terry Nation, but rather is loosely based on the novel of the same name that Nation wrote following the first series of the 1970s programme. Two series were produced of the new show: series 1 ran on BBC One and BBC HD in November–December 2008, and series 2 ran in January–February 2010, ending with a cliffhanger. The BBC announced on 13 April 2010 that due to poor viewing figures Survivors had been cancelled. The series premiered in South Africa on BBC Entertainment, in September 2009, in France on DTTV channel NRJ 12 on 12 January 2010, on BBC America in the United States on 13 February 2010, and in Australia on Channel Nine, on 21 March 2010. Ispirata alla fiction inglese degli anni settanta I sopravvissuti (di Terry Nation), presenta parecchi punti in comune (a cominciare dal nome della protagonista) con l'originale pur non essendone un remake. I produttori hanno dichiarato che è basata che Terry Nation scrisse dopo la prima serie. Dopo due stagioni, il 13 aprile 2010 è stato annunciato che, a causa dei bassi ascolti, la serie è stata cancellata. Alcune fonti avrebbero imputato la soppressione alla concomitanza della diffusione del virus dell'influenza aviaria, così anche la diffusione discontinua della prima stagione sulle principali reti RAI, onde evitare un eventuale panico tra il pubblico. Volgens de producenten is de serie geen remake van de eerder gemaakt BBC-televisieserie (1975–1977), geschreven door Terry Nation, maar is ze losjes gebaseerd op het boek met dezelfde naam dat Terry Nation schreef als vervolg op de eerste serie. Twee series werden omgevormd tot één serie. Alle afleveringen duren 60 minuten, behalve de eerste die 90 minuten duurt. Door teruglopende kijkcijfers is de (afsluitende) serie niet meer gemaakt. De serie is uitgezonden in Engeland, Australië, Zuid-Afrika, Frankrijk en Amerika. In België werd de serie meermaals uitgezonden door de digitale zender Acht.
