- La selección de fútbol sub-18 de la Unión Soviética fue el equipo sub-18 de fútbol de la Unión Soviética. Para las competiciones mundiales se reorganizó en equipo sub-20. Dejó de existir con la desintegración de la Unión. Fue el equipo nacional de fútbol juvenil más antiguo existente hasta 1972 con la introducción del equipo nacional sub-23. Tras el reajuste de las competiciones juveniles de la UEFA en 1962, se formó el equipo sub-18 de la URSS. La competición se ha celebrado desde 1948. Originalmente se llamó el torneo juvenil de la FIFA, hasta que fue asumida por la UEFA en 1955 (Torneo Juvenil de la UEFA). En 1980, las competiciones de la UEFA para equipos menores de 18 años se rediseñaron oficialmente como Campeonato de Europa de Fútbol Sub 18. El equipo tenía un buen récord, ganando la competición en sextas ocasiones, llegando a la final una vez, pero no consiguiendo clasificarse para las últimas cinco en 26 ocasiones. Después de la disolución de la URSS (el 26 de diciembre de 1991), la selección absoluta jugó sus partidos restantes, que fueron la final de la Euro 92. Debido a que los sub-18 de la URSS, para el 26 de diciembre, ya no se habían clasificado para su versión del Campeonato Europeo de 1992, los antiguos estados soviéticos no volvieron a jugar como equipo combinado en el nivel sub-19. - The Soviet national lads football team was the under-18 football team of the Soviet Union. For world competitions it was reorganized into under-20 team. It ceased to exist on the breakup of the Union. It was the oldest existing junior national football team until 1972 with introduction of the national under-23 team. Following the realignment of UEFA's youth competitions in 1962, the USSR Under-18 team was formed. The competition has been held since 1948. It was originally called the FIFA junior tournament, until it was taken over by UEFA in 1955 (UEFA Junior Tournament). In 1980, UEFA competitions for under-18 teams were officially restyled as the European Under 18 Football Championship. The team had a good record, winning the competition sixth times, reaching the final once, but failing to qualify for the last five on 26 occasions. After the dissolution of the USSR (on December 26, 1991), the senior team played out its remaining fixtures, which were the finals of Euro 92. Because the USSR U-18s had, by December 26, already failed to qualify for their version of the 1992 European Championship, the former Soviet states didn't play as a combined team at U-19 level ever again. Of the former Soviet states, only Russia was admitted for the 1992–1993 competition. (en)

Jej największym sukcesem jest mistrzostwo Europy juniorów w 1966 (podzielone), 1967, 1976, 1978, 1988 i 1990 roku. Do 1980 występowała w Mistrzostwach Europy do lat 18, który nazywał się UEFA Junior Tournament. W 1992 roku po rozpadzie ZSRR kontynuowała rozgrywki reprezentacja WNP U-18. (pl)
- Юнацька збірна СРСР з футболу (U-18) — футбольна збірна СРСР, що складалася із гравців віком до 18 років. На час її існування була основною юнацькою збірною країни, представляючи її на юнацьких чемпіонатах Європи. Керівництво командою здійснювала Федерація футболу СРСР. Була створена 1962 року, а за чотири роки уперше стала чемпіоном Європи, розділивши титул з італійськими однолітками, гра з якими у фіналі змагання завершилася нульовою нічиєю. У подальшому ще п'ять разів виходила переможцем континентальних юнацьких футбольних змагань, востаннє на турнірі 1990 року, який став для неї останнім в історії. 1992 року ще взяла участь у чемпіонаті Європи, представляючи СНД.
