- Una pel·lícula d'explotació sexual o sexplotació (de l'anglès "sexploitation") és un gènere de pel·lícules de i de producció independent que s'associa generalment amb els anys 1960 i principis de la dècada de 1970, i que serveix en gran part com a vehicle per a l'exposició de situacions sexuals no explícites i . - Der Sexploitationfilm ist ein Subgenre des erotischen Exploitationfilms, wobei das Kofferwort (sex + exploitation) die filmische Ausbeutung sexueller Inhalte bezeichnet. Sexploitationsfilme sind dabei meistens keine Hardcore-Filme im engeren Sinne.Der Rape-and-Revenge-Film gilt als Subgenre. I film sexploitation venivano proiettati nei cosiddetti "grindhouse", cinema diffusi negli Stati Uniti in cui, con un unico biglietto a basso costo, si potevano vedere più pellicole consecutivamente. Alla fine degli anni sessanta, le leggi sulle oscenità statunitensi vennero messe alla prova dal film svedese Io sono curiosa - Giallo. Grazie alla Corte Suprema degli Stati Uniti, i film vennero legalizzati perché avevano dei contenuti educativi di fondo: durante gli anni sessanta e settanta, i film vennero spesso chiamati "i film dei medici" perché spesso venivano introdotti da un dottore che indicava cosa si sarebbe mostrato in questo film. Het is een samentrekking van de Engelse woorden sex en exploitation; de sexploitation-film is dan ook een subgenre van de exploitatiefilm. Sexploitation-films verschillen van pornofilms, omdat de eerste nog een verhaal vertellen, waar pornofilms uitsluitend gericht zijn op de seksscènes. Sexploitation-films kenmerken zich vaak door sexy geklede vrouwen, blote borsten en nudisme. Hiermee richt het genre zich praktisch alleen op de mannelijke smaak.
