- Rachel Speght (1597 - fecha de muerte desconocida) fue una poeta y polemista. Fue la primera mujer inglesa en identificarse, por su propio nombre, como polemista y crítica de los ataques de género. Speght, feminista y calvinista, es quizás mejor conocida por su tratado A Mouzell for Melastomus (Londres, 1617). Es una refutación en prosa contra el tratado misógino de , The Arraignment of Lewd, Idle, Froward, and Unconstant Women, y una contribución significativa al discurso protestante de la exégesis bíblica, que defiende la naturaleza de la mujer y el valor de la mujer.
